New Post
Welcome to this experimental Monday edition of the Austin Business Review, with a quick look at events you might like for the week ahead.
I’ve been dying to try this for a while.
The Reason: The Thursday edition is great, but stuff always comes up over the weekend that I wish I could share. Case in point, over coffee this weekend, I learned about this investor poker game, and a keynote/book signing by Priya Parker, best-selling author of The Art of Gathering.
You’d miss both if I waited till Thursday to talk about ‘em.
So this email’s short – just work events for the week, and one thing for the weekend.
Let me know what you think. If it’s useful, we’ll keep it. And if people hate it, we’ll ditch it, and I’ll go back to spending my weekends staring at a wall, waiting to write to you Thursday morning.

PS. If you love it, it’ll need a name. Drop me a line if you have any ideas.

One For The Weekend
…A little something to look forward to
Field Guide Fest is a three-day celebration of local chefs and farmers, down at Fiesta Gardens and Boggy Creek Farm. If you’re into local food, you gotta put this one on your list. Fifty-plus chefs and farmers gathering for:
Friday: A four-course dinner and storytelling by local chefs
Saturday: A symposium on food and agriculture (plus light bites and drinks)
Sunday: The festival itself (your ticket includes food and drink)
You can find more info on the symposium talks here (I didn’t realize Tito’s Vodka had its own farm just for employees) and check out ticket options here.

That’s all for this issue!
Email me here if you want to share any feedback, or let me know about an event you’re hosting.
Until Thursday,
-Ethan
